Thank you for visiting,
So far 2026 has been a very exciting year. To start I was listed as number 2 in Home Beautiful Magazine - “Top 10 Australian Artists to watch”, I then collaborated with Ash Holmes to create a large painting together. I held a solo show with Art2muse, a gallery I have long wanted to work with in Woollahra Sydney..... and I am now back in the studio working on a series of commissions and a new body of work for HAKE HOUSE OF ART.
Recently, I had a painting selected to be in the filming of Extraction 3 so keep an eye out when the movie airs :)

About
Amanda Tye is an Australian artist whose large oil paintings capture a sense of stillness and energy of the Australian landscape . Historically her work has been about fragmentation, freedom, and escape,
Tye sections the landscape into shapes, moves between flattened geometry and spatial depth and describes painting as a way of bringing order and processing things out of her control… finding freedom and autonomy as a response to the energy received from being submerged in the natural world.
Tye has been a twice finalist in The Northern Beaches Environmental Art Prize 2024, 2021, National Emerging Art Prize, ACB selects 2023, Southern Buoy Landscape Prize 2020, Glover Art Prize 2019, The Fleurieu Art Prize 2018, Mosman Art Prize 2015, and twice winner of the People’s Choice Warringah Art Prize (Northern Beaches Art Prize). She is represented by HAKE House of Art Sydney.
